After Decal, Bytecon, Exzakt or EMS, Boris Divider joins today the prized ring of the artists published on Satamile. Proof of the deserved and unlimited fame of this Madrid based talent with impeccable discography since 2002 on structures such as Dona-Li, Drivecom, Psi49net or Omniam. With "Digital Mind", the Spanish signs a very melodic four tracks EP, inspired by the German sound (Kraftwerk and successors). On A side, "Clone Factory" delivers a strong dancefloor piece based upon a powerful bassline and some futuristic vocals. In a darker register, "Robot Skin" alternates depressive synthesizer strings and analogical tonalities. Absolute climax of the 12'', "A New Race" on the flip offers a superb hypnotic work, combining subtle vocoder and unforgivable groove. No doubt the best track of the EP, to be compared to Anthony Rother's famous "Redlight District" on Elektrolux. At last, "Digital Mind" punctuates this release with a harder touch, made of robotic rhythms. Romantic, funky and mechanic at the same time, this 12'' is highly recommended!
