The Diskchordians – M-439 Class A – Pretension 04

Since the stopping of the Volsoc project, Justin Maxwell turned into a minimal tech-house style that helped him (in solo or along with John Tejada) through Traum, Palette and True To Form labels to get a deserved worldwide recognition. Associated today with Carl Bradshaw aka Limbertimbre (Pretension, Spacebar Sentiments), the Californian based artist returns to an incredible aesthetic, complex and audacious electro. Under the Diskchordians name code, the US duo delivers on "M-439 Class A" a sumptuous noir construction, combining synthetic textures, ultra Sci-Fi sounds and stunning rhythms. The B side presents in its remasterised vinyl version the long awaited nasty remix of "New World Empire", previously released in 2003 on Kraddy's "Truth Has No Path" CD album (Refiner Records). Here again, the band shows an unlimited creativity, offering to a meticulous break programming some hallucinating futuristic and crystalline tonalities. A cut-edge, explosive and ahead of its time EP. Vital!
