When Freezie Freekie does it again, one has to expect something heavy! Launched by Satamile, Brooklyn's syncopated entity gives a perfect follow up to the essential "Data Sink EP" published in 2003. "Promise Of Technology" introduces the A side by a superposition of dark strings. A unique longplayer in the form of successive layers which ends up in an exploding climax embellished by vibrating atmospheric melodies. Mind-boggling and intensive! "Freezie's Gonna Funk Ya" on the reverse offers a pretty electrofunk work based on a very successful dubs effects and old school touch. Finally "Nanobotix", a cut that can be easily compared with EMS recent productions, takes again the futuristic elements used in the first title, some ingredients in more such as stacattos and ghostly samples. A 12'' in half-tone, at the same time dancefloor and mental. Essential!
