After her excellent EPs on Areal Records, one of the most innovative label from Cologne, Ada presents us her first album: "Blondie". Through 10 nice tracks (only 8 for the vinyl version), Michaela Dippel take us a little more into her universe. With a good balance of vocal exercises and one the most sensible electronic programmation, this album is an eclectic one. It includes dancefloor and melodic tracks like: "Eve" with a nice destructured guitar arpeggio, "Cool my fire" with a superb and immediately lovable refrain, or "Our love never dies", an abrasive track in the typical Areal style: heavy analog sound, incisive snare drums and a dark kick, perfect for a burning dancefloor. We find also more personal tracks on the album like "Who pays the bills" and "Each and everyone": jazzy / trip-hop ritornello for the first one and super nice minimal and melancholic track with sweet ethereal vocals for the second, my favorite one on this LP. Excellent! So, if you like female vocals, minimal sound and inventive four to the floor music, don't make a mistake by missing this really good album.
