Published in 1998 on Colin Dale's Abstrakt Dance fourth release label, Freaks Frequency was originally a track taken from the eponymous 12'' written and produced by UK artists Orson Bramley, Martin Brown, Time Harris & Kurt Baggaley. Coming today in its remix versions, the tune offers new sound perspectives thanks to respective talents of Mr Velcro Fastener, Point B and S.A.E.F.F (Super Awesome Electro Friends Forever!). Getting into Finnish Tatu & Tatu (i220, Tie Entertainement, Electrix) expert hands, the first mix on A side delivers a brilliant linear composition enhanced by hypnotic groove and heading vocals. Filtered by young recruit Richard Bultitude's sharpened machines, the following title offers fearsome infra bass for a mental and funky final result. At last, tortured by one half of Volsoc (World Electric, NIT, Belief) Justin Maxwell's amazed spirit, associated here with his new partner Cynthia Bruyns aka Dj Sukeban, the ultimate version, declined in two futuristic variants ("Saeff! Vocal Mix" & "Saeff! Instrumental Mix") serves a hallucinating track that combines perfectly sickly bleeps and filled atmosphere. An essential EP that will suit to the most hard to please electro lovers. www.transparentsound.co.uk Nexus 6, 15/10/2004
