After one EP and an album on the Chicago based label Hefty Records (T. Raumschmiere, Telefon Tel Aviv...) Savath and Savalas (aka Prefuse 73) brings on Warp his 2nd album: Apropat'. Accompanied by the Spanish singer Eva Puyelo Muns, the beatmaker from Atlanta gives us 14 really interesting tracks. Between Spanish folk and melancholic pop, this acoustic and aerial album is just perfect for the one who wants to take a smoky break. Here, no broken beats or tortured samples, just simple rhythms and tons of acoustic guitar to lead Eva' sing. Maybe hard at first listening because of the monotonous aspect and the really simple production, Apropat' is a good record because it speaks about a beautiful story with a perfect soundtrack... Just listen... Check audio samples on Warp web site! www.warprecords.com Nhar, 07/04/2004
