After a quite good dark 80s techno EP by Onurb ("Defrost EP" - Citizen 02), the young French label Citizen has just launched a bomb! Take two artists who had success previously on Gigolo, let them work together some time and you get a new explosive electroclash duo. Until now, Linda Lamb released only one EP on DJ Hell's label: the nice "Hot Room" with great remix by Tiga. Contacted by another Gigolo artist who needs no introduction, Vitalic, the New-Yorker accepted to write some songs for the new band called The Silures. And this association works perfectly! All the four tunes of this release have lyrics, their common base is techno with of course strong 80s electro and rock influences, especially regarding structure of their songs. Voice and lyrics by Linda Lamb mixed to a huge sound and perfect production make this release simply essential. Special mention to A-side tracks: "Fishnets" & "April Showers". Congratulations to The Silures, can't wait for the next EP!
