Nowadays it's quite usual for a label to celebrate its birthday by releasing a compilation made of essential titles taken from its catalogue. However, when this label was created 10 years ago and has published hundreds of tracks, it's not so easy! But Superstition brilliantly did it!! No doubt thanks to the huge work done by Mijk van Dijk! The German DJ & producer selected 70 tunes and mixed them with Ableton Live 2.0 software. The sound is techno dancefloor with also the trancey influences of middle 90's. With so many tracks in 73 minutes, the mix is at the same fast, fine and dynamic. And the various used effects make it even more powerful. It's impossible to detail the full tracklisting here, however you'll find Superstition's biggest hits (like "Schöneberg" by Marmion or "Loops & things" by Jens... people who know mid 90's scene will recognise many others!) and various artists like Oliver Lieb, Thomas Schumacher, Marco Lopez, Jens Mahlstedt, Gerret Frerichs, Cari Lekebusch, Steve Rachmad, Steve Bug, Marco Repetto and of course Mijk van Dijk. Note that a re-edition of the label's fundamental tracks is also released as 2x12" (and a free third 12" is given with the 1000 first copies).
