Hrd Vsion - Oh techo saves - Itiswhatitis 08
Following the acclaimed séries of Mathew Johnson, The fine label from BC turns to electronica with Hrd Vsion's first release. 4 tracks alternate complex broken beats and linear drums, dark landscapes and dancefloor effect. Inspired by Autechre early works, talented Hrd Vsion makes electronica & warm analog techno goes round (check "do you ever really know", hip hop cuts à la Team Doyobi). Highlight: "oh techo saves" perfect headbanger tune, devasting clipping drums, epic synth surrounding everything... Wow! What a trip! Not the average kind of stuff but a really innovative tune for open ears. www.itiswhatitisrecordings.com Chaton, 17/11/2003

Gallen - Chalmer's Selection EP - Bullitt 02
The second release of Zebra3 sublabel is a very interesting piece of vinyl. A-side track is 'Mach Drive', a reminiscent voyage into old-school French techno - synth bassline & lead strings. B-side brings 'Dyne', which is the proof of Gallen's previous involvement in Amiga computer based composing. A beautiful electro-tech tune consisting of some similar ingredients like the first one, but with a completely different attitude, bringing back some beautiful memories (if you miss those Amiga days ;) I'm sure we're gonna hear about this guy much more in the future. www.zebra3recording.com Lesha, 14/11/2003

Nicklas Samström - Swedish EP - Lifeform 12
Each month, a new Swedish artist appears on the techno scene! This is the case with Nicklas Samström, a promising talent that seems to be attracted with energetic hard techno sounds. Drawing attention to Andreas Kremer, young man signs here a first but remarkable and almost all efficient 12''. If "Lättsam" and its acidic loop will remind good souvenirs to Communiqué Records lovers, "Storsäry" and "Aläng" will seduce Lifeform addicts, accustomed to ultra distorted sounds and reverbs over powerful basslines. Coming with a remix from label owner himself, this EP is a pure jewel! www.lifeformrecordings.de www.andreaskremer.com Nexus 6, 04/11/2003
