Valyom - Red Sector - Tech-nology 01
For those who got a Commodre computer, C64 or Amiga, Red Sector name should remind many things because it was a well-known international crackers & demomakers group. And as expected, this release is strongly influenced by the sound of these old days: chiptune and .MOD modules. It is done by Filip Vandendriessche aka Valyom, a Belgium producer who... read more Ludo, 15/12/2003

Sync 24 - Darker Senses EP - Touchin' Bass 07
Harder, deeper, faster than previous release, this new Touchin' Bass 12'' written by Cultek member Philip Bolland, here in a solo exercise under Sync 24 moniker, offers four incredible and futuristic electro tunes with heavy atmosphere. A. Crash Vs Mayhem Man - Durchgeknallt Im Morgenland - WV08
Harsh branch of Andreas Kremer's labels, Working Vinyl welcomes four new cuts from Germany hard techno undisputed master. "Banging Society" on A side, declined in three distinctive versions ("Original Mix", "Maximum Punishement Remix", "Andreas Kremer Remix") evolves into frenetic and hypnotic register, punctuated by heavy bass, high-pitched sounds and furious saturations. Nothing to compare however with evil "Morgenland", last track taken from this 12'' in which boisterous rhythm runs alongside devastating industrial distortions. An impressive EP that should cause serious damages! www.andreaskremer.com www.workingvinyl.de Nexus 6, 08/12/2003

Marko Fürstenberg - Gesamtlaufzeit - Thinner 047
Founded 5 years ago, the German structure will have really soon 50 releases out! "Wow" don't you think? Well, there is an explanation: Thinner is not a label like many others since it's only distributing its releases via the internet as MP3 files (192 kbps) - for free!! But don't think the tracks' quality is not as good as what we can find... read more Ludo, 05/12/2003

V/A - The 3rd Strike - Giant and Dwarf 03
More bloody than previous release, this third production on Giant And Dwarf German label sees appearances of two new recruits : Adam Jay (Primate, Primeevil, Zinc) & B. Bommersheim (Kazumi, Chromagnon). Us artist signs with "Fee Fie Foe Fum" a succulent 4/4 cut while German producer practises salty techno on appetizing "Anytime Now". Hotly served by Crazy X-Ray and Audiotechture (Kiddaz F.M, Decomplex Audio) "Slam Jive" on the reverse comes with juicy drums and spicy bass. At last, "Etoli", prepared by surprising Pasquale Maasen concludes with a sweet touch a high energetic and groovy EP! www.giantanddwarf.com Nexus 6, 04/12/2003

Adam Beyer & Henrik B - Chapter E - Southsoul Appendix 005
It's always a pleasure to hear artists, who are usually making harder techno, doing softer stuff. This time, the ultimate Swedish duo made an excellent blend of techno & house, fusing funky bassline, house rhythm and a vocal sample. If you remember legendary Code Red releases, you'll see that all this makes perfect sense. The flip side contains Gaetano Parisio's remix with a recognizable funky Naples style. A fantastic drive filled with percussions and synth chords. Gaetek at his best. www.gaetanoparisio.com www.elpmedien.com Lesha, 03/12/2003

Xerodefx - Earth Existence EP - Tekmind 03
With "Earth Existence", Amer and Khar from Xerodefx take up again with mental electro. Three cuts make up this essential EP from Miami. On A side, longplayer "Diverse Life" introduces a solid groovy bassline enhanced by introspective vocals and minimal melody. Superb. More offensive and deep, "Elektronik Interior" on the flip, fully equipped with a vertiginous and saturated rework ("Distortion Recut") breathes electrocore storm thanks to the use of dark sounds and powerful rhythm. With this third release, US duo proves its high ability to vary genres and emotions. Brilliant! www.tekmind.com Nexus 6, 02/12/2003

Titus K. - The Green Room - Traffic Signs 02
A minimal house / techno longplayer by Titus K. that should satisfy all people who like Poker Flat sound and especially Steve Bug who also appears on this release with a remix of "The Green Room" on B-side. Ludo, 01/12/2003

Gallen - Chalmer's Selection Remixes EP - Bullitt 02R
New Bullitt with two remixes of Gallen's tracks from the last release done by Stephane Dri aka Scan X and Stanny Franssen. Scan X needs no introduction. His remix is just what we could expect from the big name of French techno scene. Characteristic rhythm with a dark bassline, this time with Detroit influenced synth strings. Stanny also in his usual arrangement - funky techno with a couple of nice breakdowns, stuff we're used to hear from the acclaimed Belgian producer. Well, this record is maybe lacking innovation, but the dancefloor usability is without a question. www.zebra3recording.com Lesha, 01/12/2003
