The Soul Monkey – Equator EP – Mangusta 115
The French DJ & producer Djinxx brings an excellent deep techno longplayer to be classified with US productions like UR. Jori Hulkonnen's remix is in the same way but it's more atmospheric and a little bit acid: superb! Finally, the last rework done by Sébastien Léger, more dancefloor, develops a nice and ultra efficient long break. Strongly recommended! www.grossomodo.net Ludo, 17/02/2005

Chaton + Hopen – Monk – Plak 04
The French duet is back with its so particular minimal house style. The A-side longplayer (14 minutes long!!) and the two other tracks are driving & hypnotizing and each of them develop an original atmosphere, most of the time dark, thanks to various vocal samples or grating sounds. Experimental house lovers: don't miss it!! Check audio sample on Plak web site! www.plak-records.com Ludo, 15/02/2005

Phil Stumpf – Photic Driving EP – Lumina 07
Half of Duplex 100 brings in solo an excellent EP on the French label Lumina. "Photic Driving" is a progressive deep techno track where beautiful sounds and driving rhythm are perfectly mixed together. The remix by Taho, label's owner, is more atmospheric and as fine and efficient as the original. Finally, "Surfing Electron" starts in a minimal & raw and even aggressive way (typical German style!) and ends also with a deep touch. Highly recommended! Blotnik Brothers – Museful Revolution EP – Satamile 23
