On its 8th release, Modelisme Records welcomes a new promising French duo. 22 Crew is composed by Kevin, a DJ based in Nîmes (south of France) who played in the first raves who took place in France 10 years ago (D.Mention, Dragon Bal, Borealis...). About the other member of 22 Crew, some of you already know him because he's the last reviewer who joined our team: Nhar! After Chaton on Plak Records (and soon on Mental Groove!), another atomic member is now making his first appearance on vinyl! And one more time, we are both pleased and proud of the result! This EP starts with "Rikarbiere", a track evolving between minimal house and techno. The rhythm and the atmosphere (bass + dark strings & sounds) are in the spirit of some Kompakt / Michael Mayer releases. The next title is a remix done by Modelisme founders: EDP. It goes more into minimal house with a pumpy kick, a jumpy bass and a background both atmospheric & hypnotising. Excellent. The longplayer of B-side - "Toops" – is also a success. It's made of the same kind of elements we find on the first tune: a strong & noisy rhythm, a driving bass, some dark & broken strings that make the whole track very captivating and a nice melancholic melody which appears during a break.
