It's been a while we didn't mention Sender. Don't think this German label slowed down his activities, on the contrary it kept on going on its own way and it has now become a respected label of the minimal techno scene. As a proof, this excellent compilation published to celebrate the 30th Sender release. It's not very easy at first listening because of the raw and dark style of some tracks but it becomes very captivating after, when we discover all layers that counterbalance and make smoother this initial rough aspect. The 13 tracks of this CD (8 on the 2x12" version) are as well suited for club use than home listening and perfectly combine crackles, short vocal samples, strong basses, melodies, strings or groovy rhythms. Here are the artists appearing around Benno Blome, Sender's boss : Carsten Jost, WeltZwei (2 Dollar egg rmx), Metope, T.Raumschmiere, Jake Fairley, Vocophon, Baby Ford, Maetrik, Misc., Konkord, Sten, K.Lattiz & Trike and Blome & Grummich. Strongly recommended to all fans of this famous German sound close to some Kompakt or Bpitch Control releases. Check audio samples on Sender web site & get it!
