Movement Festival 2004 : three days – one million people 

Over the past four years, Detroit, Michigan, has been the host city of the most important electronic music event in the world: a free three-day festival, integrating musical and visual artistry, creativity, diversity and state-of-the-art technology. Over 70 world-renowned acts converge at the epicenter of techno to perform on multiple stages each Memorial Day weekend. On each stage, the performances are strategically scheduled to create a continuous flow, beginning at noon and building musical momentum until the finale at midnight. This year, the Movement Festival continues its dedication to disseminating some of the world's most important music and promoting cutting-edge talent while maintaining allegiance to the heritage of true urban music. The festival will include DJ sets and live acts by artists such as: Alden Tyrell live, Claude Young, Ellen Allien, Francois K, Kevin Saunderson, Legowelt, Rolando, Stacey Pullen, Cloud 9, Duplex live and many many more. The festival is for FREE!!!! However, there are VIP passes ($50 – 1 Day and $200 – 3 Days). The VIP pass include backstage access in order to meet your favorite artists in person, 2 drinks on the house each day, access to after parties, and more… The festival will take place at the Hart Plaza in Detroit while after hours, Downtown Detroit, will come alive as every bar, club, gallery and warehouse space overflows with 200 separate after parties and events hosted by the world's top promoters, record labels and magazines.
