Sober, inspired and very efficient, here's to describe this eight release from a brilliant label that should deserve to be better known ! Launched in Gera by Junkmaster Z. and Tobias from the O.R.C.A agency, Loch records develops since 1997 an original hard techno sound, using not only powerful basslines but also industrial and metallic sounds. After having welcomed productions from Jan Agricola or Junkmaster Z, the German division meet up with one of its best artists, Ewoks, also known as Sebastian Kramer who delivers a three cuts EP influenced by Detroit style. While "Bright" & "Romantic" offer linear and minimal atmospheres, "Diamond" & "Inflate" remind us X-101 (Mills, Hood and Banks) early works. Brillant !!
