From now based in England, German Andreas Bolz's excellent label puts finally a term at one year of musical black out for our greater joy. By welcoming four sound transmissions from Volsoc, this vital production precedes very awaited first album of the Los Angeles duo, "10.000 Spaceships Attacking A Very Small Planet!" to appear on World Electric in 2005. If the title "Needleintuit" on the B side is not new, having been published on Si Begg's label NIT, the three other frequencies are completely new and let burst at the great day the unbounded creativity of Justin Maxwell and Jean Paul Bondy. "Here Come Volsoc" on the A side is presented in the form of a threat of destruction made by Volsoc at any MPC user. Vocodered voices, unstructured rhythm, abundance in the effects, seizing Sci-fi elements transform this devastating piece into a total new school electro winner. More hypnotic, "Try To Save Your Song (Ok Robot)" offers futuristic melodies for a deep and evolutionary result. At last, the UFO "Calzoni" introduced some funny Japanese samples before transferring itself in a subtle slaughter, enriched by rough bass and enthusiastic distortions. A 12" touched by the grace of talent. Essential!
