Jude Greenaway's enthusiastic debuts on young breakbeat electro structure from London based Stormfield (Fuel / Breaks Fm). Under Scan One moniker, this well known DJ in the UK scene delivers here a fearsome four tracks EP, psychiatric and dancefloor at the same time. On A side, "Every 7th Bullet" collects under mechanic and post industrial rhythm gloomy confessions of a Nam war veteran. Apocalyptic overture, crude lyrics, filled atmosphere make this track a must have. As dark as the first cut, magnificent "F.B.I Smash" oscillates between unhealthy electro hit and nightmarish breakbeat bomb. Crispy, intensive and captivating! On the reverse "Kik It" goes on with an atmospheric tune enhanced by juxtaposition of religious strings, heavy kick and ultra distorted vocals. Only "Belfaster" with its electronica melodies seems to let a door opened to a less depressive music. An excellent EP that inaugurates in a frantic way a structure already promised to a brilliant future!
