Like a tribute to Chicago style, this efficient production, written by new Holzplatten recruit Sascha Zastiral, develops in four tracks an ultra dancefloor and nostalgic pumping techno. Whereas on A side "The Funk Member", based upon a percussive bassline, offers beautiful tribalo-groovy flights, "Quaar" ventures into hypnotic sounds while "Flashback" on the reverse accentuates 90's allusion thanks to feminine persisting vocals and furious rhythm. In a superb and fearsome retro register, "Respect" imposes at last some vibrating and summer time music. A ideal production to play on club or on the beach, at setting sun!
