Sono51 : vinyl selector

Based in Berlin, Germany, this website has a simple and cool design. It only features a biweekly selection of 10 titles from new undergound vinyl records. Reviews are short but the most important are the audio samples... So, a really nice concept and some high quality selected tracks (from Transmat Compost, Fragmented or Forcetracks labels for example).

Friends for ever...

We had a very very good time last Saturday at the Weetamix in Geneva with Michael Mayer and Tobias Thomas from the excellent Kompakt label. Purest feeling... Techno, electro, minimal house : it sounded really great in a very good and relaxed atmosphere. It ended at 7:30 am with the dj's and 15 survivors dancing on the Madonna's first album : Respect !!

Futuria 2000 - Le Zénith - Paris (FR) - 16/09/2000

Zénith, Paris. That's a concert place. Not a disused warehouse in the suburb. I've never been to such a big event in Paris. You know, since a culture minister started to go to "rave parties" and encourage the electronic culture whereas at the same time the ministry of defense was fighting the drug problem related to techno music according to him,... read more
