V/A – The Dance Macabre EP – Thorn Industries 03

Here comes finally Thorn Industries third release. After several months of silence, this evil structure specialized in experimental breaks sound welcomes three unsigned cuts by its founder, Ian Miley aka DJ Typhoïd, associated to its long time partner Neil Keating. Under the pseudonym The Leyton Breakers, the two accomplices deliver on A side a tended "Tenebreaks" tune sailing between dark electro perversion and distorted breakbeat anthem. Then each artist separately seizes the flipside. Obviously more aggressive than the previous track, the underhand "Hellspawn" by Blackmass Plastics multiplies the sonorous attacks by deploying a whole offensive arsenal based on enormous sub-bass and percussive beat. More melodic, the depressive "Cannibal Bass" by Dj Controlled Weirdness combines dancefloor rhythm and unhealthy industrial strings. Finally, a devastating and without concession 12'', perfectly in the artistic line of the label.
