German artist Christian Morgenstern can be very proud to edit the first album by Ural 13 Diktators on his label Forte Rec. This LP released last year is a perfect demonstration of talented Finnish duet music style : synthetic sounds coming from the 80's, heavy basslines, pumpin' kicks, nice melodies, funny, vocoded or robotized voice samples... Somewhere between disco, trance, videogames or TV show music's !! Here comes a two tracks EP that will merely reminds you Johannes Heil style, dark side excepted! Written and produced by Kay D. Schmidt (Jerk, Composure, Construct Rhythm, Form, Third Movement) and Marc Tall (Dislocate, Sniper), this new production from Holzplatten camp introduces on A side "Hidden Soul", a strong linear techno piece with clear sounds enhanced by a light groovy string. More offensive on the flip, "Debouch" intends to hit sensitive souls thanks to its sharp bassline and sustained percussions. A brilliant 12'' made in Germany!

The young French label presents a new artist based in North of France. Ad.Lib brings four techno tracks with mainly dark and hypnotising atmosphere. Some tracks - "Flight above North Pole" & "80.000 Pacifists" - are based on destructured rhythms that easily remember Adam Beyer, Oliver Ho or Jeff Mills. The two other titles - "Hurricane: Not named" & "Flowed In Yangtez" - sound like stuff by Surgeon, James Ruskin or Steve Stoll. Good references aren't they?
