DeadSilence Syndicate - Edge City Express EP - Control Tower 09

If we had to choose only one release among superb Control Tower discography, it would have been this one ! Collaboration between The Dexorcist, Dj Controlled Weirdness and Krude aka Ben McClusker from Audio Illusion, "Edge City Express" demonstrates in three dark and dancefloor cuts ("The Monsters", "Edge City Express", "3rd Wave Action") anything our UK artists are able to do as electro terrorism. Dexorcist solo track is a pure jewel and worth by itself to purchase this essential masterpiece!

Uncotones - Electropianotages - Data Records 03

From experimental to electro, this third output from Belgian Data Records label introduces six unreleased tracks written and produced by J.-R. Rob(u)rang et John Sellekaers. Obviously attracted by analogical synthesizers and sound amalgamations, both artist evolve into Dopplereffekt and Adult registers. A surprising, well done and eclectic final result.

Bass Junkie - Deep Bass Matrix EP - Touchin' Bass 05

Last electro heavyweights to be pined onto cute Andrea Parker's label, Phil Klein (Breakin, Battle Trax, Audio Illusion) delivers today two killer cuts in pure electro bass tradition. Declined in its vocal and instrumental versions, "Deep Bass Matrix" introduces on A side superb melody enhanced by strong percussion elements and robotic vocals. Brilliant! In a Dynamix II style, "Miami Style" on the flip appears as the climax of that 12'', as irresistible as devastating by use of rough 808 over powerful bass line and ultra groovy feminine lyrics. A classic to become and an actual monster EP!

Canvas - Buona modulazione - Nacopajaz' CD 01

Canvas is a Parisian band whose two of its members are also part of Duplex 100 (Sam Rouanet & Phil Stumpf). Except two housy tracks, most of the 10 tunes are a kind of downtempo and electronica where the "human touch" is strong (use of acoustical instruments). Very quiet, this nice album is perfect for a domestic listening. Check it on Nacopajaz' web site.

Konfekt - Boxed[Estab] - Areal 13

M. Klein is back on the German label Areal. On the first side: a minimal techno longplayer starts in a dark and melancholic atmosphere then it turns into a raw, grating but also dancefloor way. A long ambient track based on an infantile melody fills the whole other side. An excellent release. Check audio samples on Areal web site!

Taken from "Berlinette", last album of the cute German artist on her own label, Trashscapes is coming today with brilliant remixes from Apparat, Raz o'hara, Kid 606 and Anthony Rother. Lab Insect - Ugly People - Elektrofon 01

It was a long time Lab Insect didn't release any EP. After his appearances on Leitmotiv, Lasergun and Kurbel, the French producer is back today on Ekeltrofon, the imprint he's just founded with Mitch. As we guessed, Elektrofon's style is electro techno. On the A side, "Fill for me" is both powerful, harmonious and dark thanks to its massive... read more
