Metope - Believer - Areal 15

Michael Schwanen didn't appear alone on Areal for a while. On this 15th release of Köln-based label, the German producer brings three tracks The first one is the longplayer of A side: minimal techno with massive kick + bass, various distorted sounds and a quite dark electronic piano sound. Really good! On the B side, the first electro techno tune... read more

D. Bell - Blip, Blurp, Bleep; The music of Daniel Bell - Logistic 33 CD

After a so great mixed CD ("The Button Down Mind Strikes Back"), the French label is now publishing this best of Daniel Bell. Among the 13 tracks we can find the standards "Bleep", "Phreak", "Flying Saucer" and of course "Losing Control", all released in early 90's. Except 3-4 titles, the sound is ultra minimal. A compilation remembering that the German minimal scene has been probably influenced by the style of this Detroit producer.

Paul Skoog - Horizonte EP - Holzplatten 67

Author of a handful productions on Native Diffusion and Evil Deception, Paul Skoog makes its first appearance on Holzplatten. Swedish artist introduces three varied techno tracks ranging from deep to hypnotic sounds. On A side, longplayer "Horizonte" appears as a progressive tune, a beautiful string coming out bit by bit over powerful and regular bassline. More punchy "Bodies" starts B side with repetitive music enhanced by discrete vocals. At last, "Evoke" in a clubby style ends with tribal notes this EP destined to be played and played again on dancefloors. A producer to follow!

The Addiction - Monsters EP - Lasergun 23

It seems that this new Lasergun is the first EP by Munich-based producer Emin Corrado. It's a promising debut because all of the three tracks are perfectly produced. The A side starts with "Monsters": techno dancefloor with good bass, various 80's synths sounds and a deep voice... all of this remembering Front 242. Simply strong. The second tune -... read more

Forget cover's horrible aspect, this two tracks is one of September's electro sensations! For their second release after a hip hop production on Counterflow Reccordings label, US artists from Secret Frequency Crew deliver on Mass transit imprint a killer track based upon surprising 808 and FAT vocoder! Keeping only deep and mental side, Andrea Parker's (Touchin' Bass) remix version on the reverse is even superior to the original one. A must have!
